Meet the Center Director

Hello future clients!  My name is Angela Clampitte Hibbard.  I am the Center Director at Kiddie Academy of Plano.  I am also one of the owners and a client, as well.

I attended the University of North Texas in Denton, where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education.  At UNT, I was a member of the Meadows Excellence in Teaching Scholarship Program, which afforded me the opportunity to observe and teach in a variety of schools and school districts across the Metroplex, in addition to student teaching.  After graduation, I continued on at UNT to receive a Master’s Degree in Education.  Once I began my teaching career, I went back to college again to complete more coursework in order to obtain a certification in Gifted and Talented Education.  As you can tell, I am a life-long learner, a goal I have for children in my care as well.

While in college, I worked as a preschool teacher at a child care center in Plano for four summers and at a child care center in Denton during the fall and spring semesters for two years.  It was my time at these facilities that shaped my future dramatically—I decided to leave the field of child psychology and pursue the field of elementary and early childhood education.  It is a decision I have never regretted.

I taught first grade for eight years at Bethany Elementary in Plano ISD and I loved every minute of it!  At Bethany, I served as:

I have also served on and/or chaired several committees, including:

I have even been a presenter at a state conference on Social Studies.  As I said, I have absolutely loved every minute of my involvement with Bethany Elementary, but especially my involvement with the kids, my wonderful students.  They made every minute of every day among the most rewarding time in my life.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and every one of you and your precious children!

Meet the Office Manager

Hello! My name is Nancy [Clampitte] Gootee and I am part owner of Kiddie Academy of Plano. I am the Office Manager as well as a client! I grew up in Plano and am so glad to be able to help provide such a loving, educational and worthwhile service to the children and families of the community.

Prior to opening Kiddie Academy, I worked full-time at Nortel Networks in the Information Research (corporate library) department f or eleven years and attended Collin County Community college at night. I graduated Cum Laude in 1998 after obtaining a General Education Associates Degree with an emphasis in Art. I, however, was laid off from Nortel in March 2001. Although it was an unfortunate incident, it was an almost welcome one. I had my second child about three and a half weeks later and was able to stay home with my children until our Center opened March 11th, 2002.

Now, I look forward to working to make Kiddie Academy of Plano the best childcare learning center available to you and your children. I’m anxious to get to know you all! I hope you choose to join our family and experience the educated choice in childcare!
