Kiddie Academy of Plano is owned and operated by Family Ventures Group, Inc. (FVG).  Collectively, FVG is made up of two families, the Hibbard family and the Gootee family.  Angela Hibbard is the on-site Education Director and Nancy Gootee is the Office Manager (see our Staff page for more information). 

 

Our reason for going into this business is simple.  With the birth of our daughters, both in the spring of 1999, came the task of finding childcare for them once Angela and Nancy returned to work.  It was then that we began what became one of the most eye-opening and disheartening tasks of our lives.  Angela, having a background in early childhood education and years of experience in the education field, knew what to look for in terms of quality child care programs.  We knew what to ask and had checklists in hand as we set about visiting center after center after center.  The places we visited varied greatly in quality, affordability, and accessibility and we unfortunately found what so many other parents find—an alarming lack of quality programs available.  It was shortly thereafter that we made the decision to open our own child care facility.  We knew child care could be done better—much better.

 

So, here we are. We understand how difficult it is to find quality care for your child because we have been there. The decision to leave your children in the care of others is perhaps among the most stressful decisions a family makes.  Rest assured, we understand your concerns.  Our aim is to be the best child care facility you can find--anywhere.  Nothing less will do.  Our children, and yours, deserve it.
